Heidi Rødstøl:
Lost Chair
Lost Chair
Heidi
Rødstøl: Lost Chair, 2003, installation
in living room, paint on carpet, variable dimensions.
See
full-size images here.
In Lost Chair Heidi Rødstøl has
given the shadow of a chair an independent life. Through the
act, the paint and four
photographs taken from different angles, the absence of
the chair is made present, and the "removedness"
of the chair is made visible. The recognizability of the lost
chair depends on the perspective of each photograph.
Heidi Rødstøl lives and works in Ålesund,
Norway. She graduated from Kunsthøgskolen
i Bergen, Department of Fine Art in 2003.
